okay then ...

1. this sounds to be a fairly new problem, independent of that "bat wave" discussion we had earlier. As such, you're welcome to post the question in a new thread with explicit title such as "trouble compiling newos.org"

2. telling us "the os could not compile" is pretty useless if you expect anything else but "doh. too bad. we're really sorry for you". Please give us basic info about your environment: what OS, what compiler and error message from your compiler.

3. reading instructions from "newos.org" says
To build newos, you need to grab a special toolchain (gcc + binutils) that I've compiled for most popular host OS's
Chances are that the guy configured a specific cross-compiler for his OS like we're all suggested to do. Out-of-the-shelf compilers/binutils might for instance not use the proper binary format and therefore fail to build bootable image.

from your previous posts i belive you have windows. so if the zip format is "tar.gz" it seems to made with linux/unix/bsd, so what are you using to unzip and what is your compiler (cygwin is good)
