Do I need to set PM with grub also

I had seen a turorial from 'bkerndev' on OSDEVER.NET, but it seems that he has not set up the p mode before invoking kernel.... he was straightly using 32bit programming.... it is that grub boots us into pm automatically.....

not automatically. it does if you ask (by having a multiboot-compliant kernel).

I suggest you get a look at "BareBones" and "GRUB" pages in our FAQ
