Floppy Controller

I am having trouble getting my floppy driver working (runnnig in protected mode), the motor will not spin up.

I am resetting the controller and doing a outb(0x1C, 0x3F2) but the motor does not spin up and my seek command fails.

Are you waiting a little while (my driver waits .13 seconds or so) before seeking, or are you seeking immediately without waiting for the motor to spin up?
