how to use with floppy image?

Post by asmboozer »

in bona fide os,there are two floppy images, but how can I play with them?

should I use partcopy to merge the image & kernel with the right offset 0xFF800000/0x100000?

Floppy Images
FAT12 formatted - bootf02 bootsector - loads a PMode kernel(kernel.bin) at address 0xFF800000 - Download(842KB)
FAT12 formatted - GRUB bootsector - loads a PMode kernel(kernel.bin) at address 0x100000 - Download(48KB)

they're flat snapshot as a whole disk, afaik. Get a look at "disk images" page on http://www.osdev.org/osfaq2/ to see how you should use the tools you own.

I guess pasting my linux command here won't be helpful :l)
