floppy programming and the bochs

Some trouble with programming the floppy for being compatible with the bochs keepes me awake for now quite some time:

in the read/write sector function, after issueing the read/write command and the parameters, the bochs refuses to send the irq 6. IRQ's are acknowledged in the stubs already, so that's no issue. I wonder what I am doing wrong.

D'ya know any valuable hints/links for solving my problem? 've tried a search on the forum and found lots of things none of which adressed my problem unfortunately.
