Question about which tools to use, bugs, the best way to implement a function, etc should go here. Don't forget to see if your question is answered in the wiki first! When in doubt post here.

Tim Robinson wrote: I couldn't agree more. Look at the OS projects that have failed and those that are still here and going strong. The ones that have failed are the ones where they said, "omfg let's add Windows and Linux and USB and GUI and..." and either nothing got done or it all fell to pieces. The best ones are the authors took the time to do things properly: not adding cool gizmos, but good old-fashioned software engineering.
Still, it's demotivating as h*ll to see a different project get support for an X number of devices within a month or so while I only get my modules 1/5th way done.

Even if I know that they're going to do it again in a few months anyway :)

Be patient. It doesn't run away.

'thou', I 've to admit: I am frustrated too. Moving soon and my flat looks like what remains after a bomb has struck. ****. Not even the slightest bug hunting done in the last four days and I long for a quiet debug session after these lots of parties and sort of.

But even if I do some advancements - the drawback is, you just can't do a design, stick to it and later be stubborn and don't do adequate changes if you come to the conclusion: hey, there's something wrong.

But there comes the caveat: change something and you have to follow the changes throu the entire system. Best: the earlier you decide to do something to get the design right the better. Because Bugs hide in the most nonobvious places - and I am stalking right after one that troubles me now for days. *g*

Long nights with debug sessions darker than shadows are aproaching me.

Dito here, but more because I can't clean up with some speed with only one arm.

Why don't you stuff a lot of the stuff in boxes? That should clean up...

Other district in vienna - into a bigger flat, closer to my sunshines home. *gg*

The boxes will come sooner as you think, they are just waiting to be filled.

@bubach: 's been an accident. Bikers and Cars aren't compatible. Neither the former are compatible enough to asphalt to bear a hard impact on it without strains when making *close* connaissance with any car.

Got some moving boxes here if you'd like them :D. I use them for old paper now.

Uhhuh. Collarbone (is that the right name? it's the rib at the top which points out and shouldn't be called a rib) ruptured, so I have to keep that arm really steady.
