Another note on the rules: there needs to be a more specific time given than just the day. In an international setting, this can mean a difference of up to 24 hours depending on where you are. At the very least, the time zone by which the days are judged needs to be stated. So I recommend that the contest statement be changed to something like:

[tt]Starting Time 2004:03:03 - 00:00.00 GMT

Ending Time 2004:03:06 - 00:00.00 GMT[/tt]

Which gives a very specific 72 hour period that is recognizable anywhere in the world. It doesn't have to be GMT; I chose that example as one people would most readily recognize, and which would at least give the illusion of impartiality and universality. 8)

Otherwise you'll end up in disputes over what day a given submission was made.

Also, I suspect that the team rule is problematic; a boot sector isn't something that can really be divided into parts. I would probably try this myself if it weren't for that rule. While the rule makes sense in general, in this case I don't think it works.

ya i was thinking of an online timer that the teams can check until it is over. A php/javascript page. Php gives time to end in a text box and JS decrements it.

the challenge has changed. check it out and give me some advice or suggestions.

Well, hello to everyone... Just signed up for CodeWars judge position as 'cefarix', and got accepted by mr. xsism :)

I'm busy until Saturday evening, but after that I'll be active on the forums, as well as able to judge... And what's the IRC channel/server for this?

Rest assured, I will be competing in the next competition ;)
