problem with grub in windows

Post by Ytinasni »

My problem:

I am unable to get grub working in windows xp

I have tried the floppy image from Quicklinkz, and both mtools and filedisk report 'non-DOS disk' or similar....

i have also tried compiling grub from source (in cygwin), but grub "requires a working absolute objcopy", so another idea flies out the window......

So, my request is: could someone put the stage1 and stage2 files in a zip and either:
put them on the 'net and post a link,
or
email them to me @ Ytinasni666 at hotmail dot com

thanks in advance

The binaries from http://www.pro-pos.org/downloads/grub-0 ... -pc.tar.gz and the "Installing GRUB" chapter from http://www.pro-pos.org/dump/KernelSpaceC%252B%252B.html should get you started.
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.
