So long for now

Post by beyondsociety »

I really dont know if it matters but I going to be leaving mega-tokyo for a while. I have been spending all my time working on my operating system called 'ibox' and posting questions and answers on megatokyo, osdev, alt-os-development when Ive had the chance. Ive also given input and helped a little bit with other peoples projects.

I am at the point where I need to be spending my time looking for a job. Finding work has been hard for me because of certain hardships. I've also will be spending alot of time trying to get my priorities straight. Religions one of those, so is work, the continuing of school, the way I am, etc.

In the year and a half Ive been here, Ive seen alot of growth from this site. Ive also grown myself. All these new people posting with the attitude of "give me code or someone show me how to do it" reminds me of when I first started out on this forum.

Thanks for all the help df, tim robinson, pype clicker, solar, BI lazy, percia, xsism and others who have contributed to helping me. Hopefully this will only be for a short while.

Life is always first. I feel honored to be mentioned by name - and if you feel like chatting some about religion, feel free to contact me in private. Seeing how you placed that first, I think you might wellcome a view from a distance, and I won't attempt to convince you of anything, promise. ;-)
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

Don't let OS development get in the way of finding a job! :) On the other hand, don't let work get in the way of OS development...

Hope to see you back soon. I'm sure most of us will still be here when you return.

hey, you're probably "gone" by now, but if you ever need help, ask :) I have the same priorities problem as you. Religion, work, schooling. It is hard to balance. Advice: do all things in moderation.

I have not completely quit osdev, but instead jsut decreased my activity.

Have phun,

I just thought I'd let you guys know that I back hopefully for good. I worked for walmart a couple of years back and so for the time being I have decided to go back to walmart. I am currently a dept manager at the store that I work at. In january I am going back to school to finish my B.S. in Computer Engineering.

The last week or so, I have been working on my OS. I hopefully should have a first version soon.
