oooch tom100000 ;)

it's in fact a somewhat recursive name: it lies to the processes: telling them they are the only ones running on the cpu with all adress space at hands.

so it is an illusion, and as we say in vienna: "das blaue vom himmel l?gen" (to lie the blue down from heaven - as if it would make more sense in english *lol* in french it sounds way better: Il mente comme il aspire.) well ... it became the BlueIllusion.

<pype takes over>: this is "il ment comme il respire" which could translate into "lying as easily as you breath" </pype>

@ozguxx: font attribute 0x07 = white text black background I think, dont know it exactly by heart.

blueillusion os v0.01 source code[/url]

Thanks Pype for correction. My french is that rusty that I should sink in earth ashamed for even trying to use it without any refresh.

some words: it should boot up and run out of the box at least in the bochs. On my Pentium celeron it traps into an exception. On a computer at office (pentium III 500) it runs as expected: with smooth elegance.

After boot up the "shell" should wait for input from you: just type in 'help' and you'll get more explanations. there are some vm86 tests (changing videomodes) available, showing a box (in mode12 a bit screwed up).

stay safe and may the bochs be with you

I always feel queer when it's hot and sweat runs down the back. 8). Also, being too much on coffee hasn't helped much to get away from it ];->. ... geez, but what do you mean with "dont sweat it girlfriend" ? I am not that good with english idioms.

Traditional meaning of 'queer' is odd/strange/eccentric. This is the meaning those who learn english in school will recognise. In modern english it has also come to denote someone whose sexual orientation is homosexual in a similar manner to the term 'gay' which traditionally means light-hearted/mirthful.

Eg He's queer = He is homosexual.

The word 'queer' is usually used in a derogatory or insulting fashion.

So when you wrote:
*gosh i feel queer today...*
Schol-R-Lea deliberately mistook your meaning to be 'gosh i feel homosexual today...*' in order to make a joke.
Don't sweat it, girlfriend, you'll get used to it after a while... oh, you meant 'odd'.
An emoticon would have made it clearer.

"Don't sweat it" means quite literally "Don't work yourself up into a sweat over it" or more succinctly "Don't worry about it".

The term 'girlfriend' is apparently used by homosexual couples when referring to their partner.

It was a funny joke, but wordplay is fraught with danger on an international webboard :).

Yup, in case you were wondering, I am bored.

hehe thats cool

@curufir: thank you for the explanation. I know the word queer only from emglish books, and there it occured only to describe something ... odd. we don't learn such words at school. I don't feel offended by that joke.

@*murfle*pype: found the floppies already? what a pity to deprive you of this funny possibility 8). Just wait what future brings hm? ];->

nah. no floppies so far ... i've tested it under bochs and it seems to work (well, didn't test the "HELp" command, though), and mounted through the loop device to get the nice source tree ...

Hope you don't mind if i port your VM86 monitor to Clicker with the appropriated credits :)

-- hum sounds i've been speaking too fast ... With those german identifiers, i am unlike to be able to understand it good enough :(

@pype:I don't mind. Hm... i'll make a special-for-pype release for you with english identifiers in the vm86 related parts. should be feasable.

*yawn* 38 "pints"(degrees celsius) in shadow it had here in vienna yesterday.
