Pointless!?

I would like to voice my opinion:
When I see screenshots of peoples OS's
I am amazed that they could go to all
the trouble of writing neat GUI's only
to steal the icons from windoze. I find
it pathetic and insulting. I however do bother to
create my own icons (really, its not that much
trouble). I am looking for a reasonable answer
as to why people soil their perfectly good
creations with Micro$oft junk. Thankyou for
listening to me have a go.

Anyway... I've known a lot of amazing programmers...
I've known very few amazing programmers who are
good artists.

Don't insult a guy just 'cuz he can't draw...
And since a lot of the OSs on this page are being
developed by one person entirely, you dont have an
artist...

Besides... icons aren't hard coded... you can
change them any time.
