Want to code for an OS?

Post by Hexydes »

I'm sure you have all heard it before. I want to start an OS. Ok, laugh, and walk out of the room. Anyone left? Good.

I am starting work on an OS. I need about 10 coders. This isn't going to be a standard OS though. Without giving too much away, I plan on it being able to run Windows software, but that will be where the similarities to Windows ends.

Anyway, I need about 10 coders. If you, or anyone you know, are interested, please contact me at:
[email protected]

I am very dedicated, and want to see this happen. Please write if you are interested.

Hey r u [adding editors, supporting or otherwise using] any BASIC languages? If so, I'd be glad to be of service with [shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300]stupid[/glow][/shadow] little apps and games.

NOTE: They'd be for BASIC programmers to learn how-to. Windows and DOS use 'em, and have, so they [shadow=red,left,300]MUST[/shadow] be worth something.

Yaa I am interested. But I want to know how much effort  you have already done on this. I was also planning for the same but I was not having a team so I was planning to start alone.
What kind of features are you planning to incorporate I suggest it should be an RTOS.

Oh, thank goodness! I'm not the only one who only (so far) knows BASIC, and yet still wants to write an OS! Ikke, I suggest programming an psudo-OS in BASIC, too. That's what I've done (see the ACOS link in my signature), but no one is giving me any apps ideas, so all it's got is a calcuator :'(
