The title pretty much says it all. I'm currently rawdogging on top of a slightly modified Linux kernel to write my own userland and was wondering if that's OSDev enough for here? My main interest is hardware accelerated graphics on modern architectures so I'm pretty certain talk about that wouldn't be unappreciated but I don't want to waste the communities time with tangents that nobody here cares about.

I can't speak for everyone but it's okay by me. Driver development is a big part of OS development and accelerated graphics an ambition for any OS dev who thinks they might be able to manage it.
For some hardware, Linux kernel source is the nearest thing to documentation available for OS devs. It would be nice to have another person around who's familiar with it.

Kaph — a modular OS intended to be easy and fun to administer and code for.
