Hello,
There is a new OS Development Discord server since the old one (which carried bad connotations of homophobia, racism, and so on...) has been deleted and no longer exists. This server is currently a very active community with 270 members. There are rules and a good moderation team which will make sure the server stays within the limits of what's acceptable at all times, unlike the old server. We can't wait to see new people join, everyone's welcome!

Is this different than the one discussed a few months back on this OSDev forum? Or is this a new forum that has sprung up since then?

It is different from the one discussed a few months back. The server discussed there has been deleted around a week ago and this is a new server, with different staff too.
