request sense and mode sense

In atapi commmands ,there are two commands which are 'request sense' and 'mode sense' ,who knows what are they used for ?and How to use?

Why not read the ATAPI documentation before posting here?
You know your OS is advanced when you stop using the Intel programming guide as a reference.

Yes, the specifications would be where to look first. Search for Multi-Media Command set.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCSI_Multimedia_Commands has a small description with a link to MMC-5, though it is a little dated.

MMC-5, if you remember a bit of your previous posts, is what your ATAPI calls for when reading from the CDROM.
