My Winpic bot for IRC. It reminded me of it because you wanted to help me with Win32 app-programming using a newsgroup. I have tried to set up a program (forte agent) to be able to log onto a news group, but it didn't work. Because a channel's easier and more accessable, I thought about making one instead of using the newsgroup. The only way that I know to keep a channel open, is by having someone in there. A bot's considered as a user and it's always there, so in combination with some scripts, it would be helpful. Only problem is that I can't set up the bot. Checked a working bot, but the line that gives an error at my config-file is just the same at that one (except for the name of the channel) I can't find a way to fix it, so it's not up yet.
