Table Re-Shuffle on Cross-Compiler Successful Builds

Post by phillid »

I've put a question up on the talk page for 'Cross-Compiler Successful Builds' titled 'Table re-shuffle' and figured it'd get a bit more attention or a faster response/input from the community if I linked to it from here in the forum. Please have a read, it's only 80 words, nothing long.

Cheers all for your input.

If you feel like whatever changes improve the wiki, feel free to apply them. ;)
Yes, rearranging them makes sense.

Sure. I'm not sure what the value of the article is, though. I don't see any no entries!

If you're still having trouble, I recently used gcc 4.9.2 and binutils 2.24 which works fine.

Yeah, but I felt like this is a major change which might piss some people off, so I thought I'd give some form of heads up or test the water a bit.

Good to hear support, I'll have to get around to rotating the tables sometime.

I suppose it's a good thing there are no 'no' entries. If someone encounters errors when compiling, they can check the article and confirm that it's not that other people have had success building a specific version combination so they can start tearing their hair out quicker ;) Maybe someday someone will encounter an incompatible version combination...

Okay, that didn't take as long as I expected. I've only rotated and combined the 4.x.x table, because the others have explanatory notes to comment on the GCC version or whatever. Anyone know who I go to in order to get some CSS stuck into the MediaWiki:Common.css for our wiki? It's nasty using repeated inline styles how I am now.
