DVIX --> DVD

Post by smartguy240 »

Ok does anyone know get dvix (. avi ) files to run in your dvd player? I have tried just burning them as a data cd BUT the DVD player just keeps on reading them and reading them...IT NEVER PLAYS!!

If anyone knows, or dosent know... could you please respond to this... Help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, and speaking of which, i have a brand new HP computer. It is the newest model as of 09/01/02. and i know that THAT isnt the problem.

How do i get the audio to stay with the video on some of the files i run through the DVIX player?? It works perfectly for most AVI's but there is this one spaecifically, it starts the video...starst the audio...the audio moves ...5 seconds later... the video moves!

Again help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think DivX ;) and DVD use the same format. DVDs use MPEG-2, I think, and I'm pretty sure DivX ;) is MPEG-4.

I'm sure there is some way to convert between the two. After all, they are both simply representations of video and audio data. MPEG-4 is just more compressed than MPEG-2. However, I do not have any idea to actually perform the conversion, since it's not something I've ever done.

I FIGURED IT OUT....ok ill have to give some credit to this all kmowing computer guru that goes to my school.... Guys... You burn the avi's or mpegs as a VCD!!!
I thought that was something TOTALLY different!

Sorry if i confused anyone on this thread! But for all you out there with avis or mpegs... burn them onto a CD-R using the VCD format!!!!

Nero 5.5.9.9 helps... Download it a www.nero.com and then use Kazaa or something to get a keygen to get the serial #!!
