This is exactly what BareMetal OS was built for doing - single purpose computing!

As for you issue with Pure64.. v0.5.0 is very out-of-date (and also doesn't support the latest version of BareMetal OS). It would be best to use the latest version of the Pure64/BareMetal OS software.

As for the number of concurrent connections - the only two things I can think of is streaming video and online gaming.

For both of these there are less expensive solutions that could be used.

But if not, BareMetal is good. Did you get the TCP stack going yet, ReturnInfinity? Might be your chance here.
