An idea: Create an OS that's written in a scripting language

Anyone who has even tried writing an operating system in C and actually made something work would not in their right mind come to the conclusion "Wow, I wish I would have done this in Javascript instead because then this would have been so much better!". The idea of writing an os in a scripting language is a concept that is heard often but it just isn't feasible or even realistic.
