pci bios not present at real hardware

Guy one thing I cannot understand is this post, I have a code to detect a pci bios directory, so at emulator " virtualbox " it works I found it, but when I write my kernel at a bootable cdrom with grub .096 and boot my pc with that cd at real hardware doesn´t found pcibios directory.

anyone knows why ?

this noteboot is an HP G42 core I3 processor with ddr3 1333 intel chipset,

maybe should be this motherboard need other code to detect picbios ?

at my other notebootk it works, it is an ecs notebook intel dual core note with ddr2 667 memory

Just a guess, but try Grub 0.97.

I have a new PC at home and grub 0.96 cannot boot an O/S on it. I never found out why.
