I'm trying to write my Hello World OS to an image with GRUB. My dev OS is Windows. The method on Barebones gave me an "corrupt image file" error in VirtualBox.

Well, theres no question in that post. And there is no where near enough information in your post to figure out a problem. So, I would say, try again.
