Unfortunately for you, no explanation is good enough to actually make you understand. Did you notice the references to the required knowledge? :(
Because of your answer, now I'm reading this book on my Kindle DX: http://www.amazon.com/ARM-System-Develo ... 271&sr=1-1

It's an awesome book, I've added it to the references at the wiki. ;)

In my opinion the reference you added, should probably be at ARM Overview instead. I've moved it across accordingly.

You could at least post here on which page of those manuals is the explanation for SERIAL_BASE and SERIAL_FLAG_REGISTER?

I've added a screenshot of it running to the wiki: ;)

Dude, you just ruined that article. The image is massive, useless, you formed an improper sentence, and you forced the layout to look out of place. You need to fix those things or revert.

I agree. I think we all know how a "Hello World!" looks on-screen. Reverted.

That's not truth, I was just illustrating the article.

Well, you did a terrible job at it. How many wiki pages have you seen with an image of size 646 pixels by 426 pixels? If you would use it, then it would need to be added to the article properly and not just placed where ever you feel like. Although, I don't think this article needs imagery at all, so I don't think it would be worth your effort.

Ok, stay with what you think that I stay with what I think, but let's focus on the official thread, instead of keep discussing a image.

That's what the article discussion page on the Wiki is for.

That article is in pinged's namespace. IMO editing user pages not belonging to you, I think you should ask pinged to add this and fix that or discuss about movint it to global namespace.

There's probably no need to send PM's, as I'm moving it to the global namespace. However if you are planning to edit it, write something in the article discussion page on the wiki, about what your adding and if it's necessary or already covered in another article.
I'm going to add a few more articles as well on setting up interrupts on ARM (syscalls that is, IRQs will differ from board to board), I might even add a ARM Versatile-PB Barebones as well.

I agree, the article doesn't need any images. There are no difficult data structures, no new kernel designs - just a "hello, world" kernel. No images.
