it has been long since I was initially asking here about the x2APIC. Recently I stumbled across my old OS sources and realized that I had implemented x2APIC theoretically but couldn't test it due to the lack of an appropriate processor. Now that the Core i7 processors hit the market I am thinking about buying an i7 system. Today I tried to figure out which i7 models have a x2APIC, but I found no answer.
So my question is: Which of the i7 processor models have an x2APIC? For example, does the i7-920 have one?
