I will need some help

Why?
Although there are no girls at my school on a tech cub thing.
My girlfriend programs, maybe I can get her into OSdev.

Yes to woman empowerment.
Why should it be alway boys sitting on computers using some pointer to an int in C and only them knowing that the PCI bus functions at 33Mhz.
In any case,nowadays ,an operating system without a GUI is like a boy standing naked on the Beach in the afternoon :D
I will take some drawing courses so i can draw much more better thiings.

If I am not wrong, I think you need some graphic files for your GUI?

Well if this is the case then you could try out some stock photography websites like Yellow Icon or http://deviantart.com -< this is my fav.

There are many websits on internet which provide free graphics as 'Free stock Images'. Try searching for them on net

take a gdk pixbuf engine based theme and unzip it and voila, free image files for use in your os. Make sure the theme's license is alright and stuff first though.

My girlfriend just yawns.

As for impressing her, I use dinner. Restaurant is nice, but cooked yourself is even better. It doesn't matter if it's inedible either, *usually* they still appreciate it.
