UNICODE?

How can I implement UNICODE in my OS? My plan is to make my OS trilingual -> English, Spanish and Japanese. I didn't encounter problems with spanish but when I wrote "my name is kenneth" in japanese it gave me a martian translation of it.

First of all, take a look at www.unicode.org , http://www.unicode.org/standard/standard.html
http://www.unicode.org/charts/ (and select japanese)
and of course
