Capitalization!?

Post by Zenith »

Hi, I'm just wondering: Is there / should there be a standard capitalization scheme for the wiki?

Around 1/3 of the 'wanted pages' links are just pointing to existing articles with different capitalization schemes or spacing  (broken link SMBios should go to SMBIOS, Filesystems should go to File Systems) <- I haven't bothered to fix these yet, so go ahead...

For example, I recently moved the 'Real Mode' article to 'Real mode' and edited it, since it completed a few links as well as imitating the article name for 'Protected mode'. But 'Unreal Mode' and co. remain capitalized, and of course other articles still link to Real Mode in capitals.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Have a look at the Manual of Style. I once started trying to tidy up a bit too, but unfortunately got busy doing other things.

Cheers,
