How to hidden a partition in window 2000/xp

hello,every, i want to hidden a partition under windows 2000, and i chage the partition type in the partition table, but it useless.

PartitionMagic 8.0 can hidden partition, and i found it don't chage the
partition table. what did it do?

anyone who have some information?

Sorry, i found That PartitionMagic 8.0 also chage the partition type in partition table, but it do something else to update system information to
make the os konw that is a hidden partition.
So onle chage the partition type in partition table useless to hidden the partition.

The "hidden" partition is still marked in the MBR, therefore it can be "seen".

Specifying a file system type as "hidden", only works as long as the OS treats the partition as if it didn't exist.
