no key repeat under virtualpc, but under qemu and...[solved]

Post by jerryleecooper »

When I keep a key pressed on the keyboard, the key print on screen at the prompt, producing a row of the same character. This is what is happening on qemu and bochs. But not with Virtual PC.
Under VirtualPC, the keys are not repeated. I tried changing the steprate with 0x64 0xf3, the keys still doesnt repeat.
Is the normal behavior under VPC that the keys not repeating, or is it a symptom of a bug somewhere? I know of a solution, detecting for how long the key is down and do the repeat "manually". But I need to disable repeating on bochs and qemu.
Do you have an idea why the keys are not repeating on VirtualPC?
