never really looked at it much myself so i cant say -- though i dont bother with it myself

mabey someone else has more experience with it

i would imagine the information in it is highly CPU-specific, meaning different optimizations are appropriate for prescott, northwood, willemette, copermine, klameth, etc (cant remember the names between copermine and klameth, or the older ones)

its prob more useful once the OS is stable (and usable)

i guess it wouldnt hurt to get it, and then make your own decision about using it

just pondering, i would like to have the 5 developer guide books and as they ship them for free, how much does each book cost?

also, will i be allowed to order all 5 of the books at the same time and have them shipped to me?

or is it all free lol

well they figure that if you dont know the information in them, you cant develop for those chips -- and if you do develop for those chips, then people using your software will buy the chips

else you will develop for other chips, and your software will require other platforms

im in the UK and i just tried to call the international number for ordering the book and it says that the number has not been recogized.

the number they say call is 1-303-675-2148

any ideas on how to call that number from the UK or is that an old number that they still have on the webpage?

sorry for all the questions.

dont know about the phone number -- i ordered through the e-mail address they listed -- that should always work no matter where you are

they used to have a online order form -- i wish they still did!

Intel even sent them to Japan  . All 5 + the optimization and a survey.

i dont know -- i asked earlier, but noone responded to my post

i used to have a link to it, but then AMD removed the page (the hard-copies were not availible) and when they put it back, its in a different place, so i cannot find it (AMDs developer site is very hard to navigate)
